10km challenge - Day 2

12 week 10km challenge:
WEEK 1:
Day 2:             Walk briskly for 30 minutes.

Thanks to my regular walks, I knew that physically this day would not be a challenge.   What I did not count on was how much effort it was to actually convince myself to go for a 30 minute walk!   After an average day of class, and an equally average shopping trip (where I was stuck at the front of a queue with a mound of groceries and a card machine that chose to decline my card three times!) all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and sleep.   But instead, I put on my takkies and went walking (briskly) for 30 minutes.   It’s amazing how your watch seems to slow when you know that you have to do something for a certain length of time, but I ignored my throbbing head and complaining sub-conscious and stuck it out.   Here’s to a successful day 2!
